About Us
like to thank you for taking the time and
coming to our website.  I know how hard
it can be to entrust a family member with
a stranger, so I would like to take this
time to better introduce myself and tell
you a little bit about who I am.
I am 37 years old, born and raised in
River Forest, Illinois, a suburb of
Chicago.  When I was younger my family
stayed at a ranch near Loveland for a
to Denver in 2003.  We purchased our first
home in the University Hills neighborhood
and share our house with our Chocolate
Lab Ike, an iguana named Stanley, a Whites
Tree Frog who goes by Mr. Peepers, and
our newest addition Lola a very sweet Newfy
on any and every pup in sight, but that wasn't enough. :D Now I get to
spend my days loving on all kinds of creatures! It's pretty great.
I grew up surrounded by animals, mostly dogs and cats, but also fish,
chickens, a couple of goats and a hog named Peter. I was always that
person at gatherings who would be in the corner mewing with the cat or
playing with the dog, so it's no surprise that I was the one my friends and
family chose to look after their loved ones while they were away. If only I
knew then that I could make it a full-time job!

Together I am confident we can provide you with all of
your pet sitting needs or any other pet service you may
require. I would very much like to schedule a meet and
greet at your convenience so we can meet face to snout
so to speak and we can answer any questions or
concerns you may have.  Again, thank you for your time
and I very much look forward to spending time with your
pets, and making many pupper / kittie friends.

Hi everyone my name is Carol Cruver.
In 1998 I moved to Fort Collins from
Oak Park Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.
Luke and I met in high school and have
been best friends ever since.  After
sewing our wild Colorado oats we
settled down in Denver in 2003.  Having
graduated from DePaul University in
1998 with a degree in Investment
Finance, I worked the corporate world
for 10 years.  With a lot of hard work
and our love for animals the opportunity
for me to leave my cubical and do what I
have always loved to do became a
reality with Gentle Hearts Pet Sitting.
family reunion and I fell in love with Colorado.  At 13, I vowed that
one day I would return.  After graduating from Northern Illinois
University some twenty years later my girlfriend Carol and I moved
Growing up I spent my summers in Oregon Illinois at my
stepfather's petting zoo, it was always so much fun getting to
meet new exotic animals.  I realized then at an early age that I
always loved to be with animals, some of my fondest memories
were of my mother bring home animals as pets to be cared for.
We had a goat we would chase around the house - hooves are
not good indoors, or the ferrett that ate my stereo that I saved up
all summer for.  I can't tell you how lucky I feel to be able to
spend time with your furry and (some) not so furry loved ones.
Thank you for taking this time to check out our website and I look
forward to meeting you.

Hello,
I am Grant Stringham, my friends and
family call me... Grant. I have a good
amount of experience with animals, I
worked at a doggy daycare and
boarding facility for two and a half
years and have been working for
Gentle Hearts since the beginning of
2012. I am a graduate from the
University of Colorado Denver with a
Hi my name is Diane, I am a dog walker and pet sitter.  Animal lover and
once pet owner since 2004; I’ve had the pleasure of loving a variety of pets
over the years.  These include all types of cats, small, medium, and large
dogs, a parakeet and chickens. I have taken care of most of these pets
Lab mix who can stay with us for as long as
she likes.
I can't tell you how truly blessed we feel
being able to live in such a beautiful part of
the country, meeting such wonderful people,
and being able to do what we love to do.
through my pet sitting years, so I have
experience with caring for al types of
animals. I believe that pets are happier and
less  stressed when they stay in their home,
and keep as close as possible to their
normal routines.  I had a dog named Mitzy
Rae, a Sheltie, and in the past I've had my
pet in the care of a pet sitter or dog walker
when I was away and I know that it made me
feel better knowing that she was getting her
daily walks and had her own toys, food,
bedding, and comforting reminders of me
while i was gone.

Hey everyone! My name is Ona (oh!-nah) and I am
so grateful to be an employee of Gentle Hearts Pet
Sitting. Having the opportunity to spend my days
with the best pets in Denver makes every day a
wonderful adventure. I have been a dog walker, pet
sitter and overnighter for Luke and Carol for over a
year now and have loved every minute (even the
snowy ones). I grew up in Denver, going to Regis
Jesuit High School and then continuing on to the
University of Denver where I completed a degree in
vocal performance. I have a passion for opera and
have been known to sing to some of your pups! I
have taken care of all sorts of animals since I was
8. My family ran the gamut of family pets (hamsters
Teddy and Willamina, fish, and finally, Annabelle,
our beloved family dog). I started caring for other
people's pets with neighbors, family, friends, and teachers who all had pets
that needed some love and attention while their family was gone with out up
rooting them and going to a kennel. Then, I offered my services to some of
my regulars during my time as a barista at Back Stage Coffee. During this
time I have taken care of any creature you could throw my way: dogs (tiny to
extra large), cats (hairless to fluff balls), and hedgehogs. In short, I love what

degree in Music Industry Studies. I compose, record, and produce my own
music and friends' music on the side. I also have a cat named Kevin, he is
my son and continues to rebel against discipline and had done so since I
got him as a kitten. :)
Hi there, my name is Lani and I
am very excited to be a member
of the Gentle Hearts Pet Sitting
Denver from New Jersey, I really
enjoy the opportunity to spend my
days exploring the city with all of
your furry friends! I attended
Seton Hall University, in South
Orange, NJ, and obtained a B.A.
in Art History and Classics before
heeding the call of the wild and
moving to Vermont to work on a
farm. The Larson Farm is a sustainable, family-run farm in southern
Vermont that sells raw milk, free-range eggs, and 100% grass-fed beef.
Though I have loved animals and had pets my whole life, including many
strays and hurt wild animals, it wasn't until I spent time milking cows,
helping them calve, bottle-feeding lambs, mucking stalls, driving tractors,
and herding cattle on horseback that I truly realized that I’m at my happiest
when I’m spending my days outside, surrounded by animals. After
spending a year working harder than I could ever imagine, I moved back to
New Jersey and began working with a dog walking/pet sitting company in
Maplewood, NJ, called Peace.Out.Dog. After being home again I realized I
was craving a new adventure, and decided Denver was the place for me. I
drove out, and, as they say in my great home state, badda-bing  badda-
boom! I’m so happy to have found a home in this beautiful state and
amazing city! I am thrilled to be working for Luke and Carol, who are
wonderful bosses, and with this great team of animal lovers. I am so
thankful to be able to spend my days playing with all of your sweet, furry
family members!
of owning and caring for all sorts of furry and feathered friends including
many cats, dog, birds, lizards, snakes, horses, chickens, ducks, pigs,
and even cows.I also have great experience with having a green thumb,
my house is a jungle. As of now I have 2 great dogs about 4 years old
(EX pointer boxer mix, and  Bella black lab mix), many fish, and 4 fat tabby
cats all about 11 years old (Paint brush, Tiger, Baby, and Mr. Puss). I
have worked many different jobs and fields but I always seem to go back
to the animal world because I enjoy it and love it.
and I am very grateful to be a member of
the best pet sitting company in Denver, Hi
everyone! My name is Michael Kasack
Gentle Hearts Pet Sitting. I moved to
Colorado in 2007 from Grand Haven
Michigan where I spent most of my time out
enjoying the outdoors and rescuing many
helpless animals from danger including a
lot of turtles on the roads, injured birds and
baby birds, and even a goose that
someone shot with an arrow. It has long
been a dream of mine to combine my
passion for animals with a type of business
that would offer shelter for pets in need of a
second chance to find their forever homes.
Through the years I have had the pleasure
I have recently started my own mobile
grooming business Nails and Tails Pet
Grooming LLC, after leaving the master
groomers I was working for and trained
with. I have over 3 years of professional
grooming experience. I groom in the
pets own environment so they feel more
secure and safe. It’s much easier on
both owner and pet. So I bring all the
equipment and supplies to the home
and clean the mess.
Greetings! My name is Amy and I
am a lucky girl to be a part of the
Gentle Hearts team! I moved to
Denver from my hometown near
Houston, Texas, leaving behind
my beloved family dogs, Beedle
and Momo. I immediately knew I
had to find some way to spend
time with animals. Until I found
Gentle Hearts I got my fix by loving

Hello, my name is Emily and I'm 23
years old. I have been working with
Gentle Hearts since May of 2013, but
animals have been a huge aspect of my
life for as far as I can remember. I've
grown up with cats, dogs, lizards, birds,
a bunny, fish and other random
creatures that have brought me good
company. At this time in my life, I am the
mother of four chickens (yes, chickens)
named Maxeen, Jackson, Beardsley, and
Dali. My friends and family often refer to
me as "crazy chicken lady". I also have a
bearded dragon named Biggums who
loves to climb on rocks, and in my hair.
When I'm not hanging out with animals, I'm usually in front of a computer
screen designing something, in the darkroom making photo prints, out a
BFA with a double concentration in communication design and
photography from Metropolitan State University of Denver and I love every
minute of it. I am also in the process of starting my own small business
called Telling Tails by EmRe Photography, which is a pet portraiture
branch of my fine art photography. Some of you may have received mini
prints of your fabulous pets from me, and I hope to have more to share
soon! You can always check out my photography by

Hi, everyone! My name is
Kristin, I’m twenty two and a
recent IUPUI graduate with
my Bachelor’s degree in
Public Affairs. After finishing
my course work in
December 2013, I packed
up my things and headed
straight for an adventure in
Denver! With me, I brought
my fuzzy family: Lola, a 4
year old great dane and
Beans, a 1 ½ year old mini
rex rabbit. Lola and I enjoy
exploring beautiful
landscapes all over
Colorado and making all
kinds of human and animal friends. Beans mostly likes being petted and
getting treats. Before moving here from Indiana, I helped train dogs as a
volunteer of the Indiana Canine Assistant Network in Indianapolis and upheld
responsibilities as a Junior Zoo Keeper at the Columbian Park Zoo in my
hometown, West Lafayette. I have a genuine passion for the natural world and
hope to continue my education through a Master’s in Biology so I can better
advocate for the animals and the outdoors that I love so much. As an avid
animal lover from a young age, and a dog-lover since I could walk I am so
happy and proud to be a part of the Gentle Hearts team! Through GHPS, I
can't help but love and care for each fuzzy family member of yours as my own,
and feel so lucky to do so.
